With remanufacturing the mainstay of its business since it was established 15 years ago, The Turbo Guy is a leader in its field.  Currently remanufacturing over 1,000 turbos per month, the company is expanding its production facility in Glasgow, which will enable nearly twice the current throughput to be processed in 2026.

Demand for The Turbo Guy’s remanufactured products is growing, and its stock availability covers over 90% of the UK’s petrol and diesel car and van market.  With its turbos selling through motor factors and aftermarket parts distribution groups for up to 40% less than brand new OE units, The Turbo Guy offers garage workshops a more cost-effective and sustainable choice for turbo replacement, as remanufactured units use significantly less energy and materials in production.

The Turbo Guy utilises a multi-stage remanufacturing process, that detects any imperfections for rectification. This involves a complete strip down and thorough cleansing of the turbo housing, using cleaning machinery from leading equipment suppliers, including Vixen, Pangborn and Master Shot.  All parts of the turbo are meticulously examined and checked against OE specification and any non-conforming parts are replaced.  Every internal component is automatically replaced.

The turbo’s rotating assembly is then balanced on state-of-the-art equipment to the unit’s OEM specification and oil flow rates are checked.  Once assembled, turbos are subjected to a final inspection and are flow tested to ensure optimum performance.

A dedicated quality team double-checks everything before the turbo is packed carefully for dispatch. For customer peace of mind, all Turbo Guy remanufactured turbos are supplied through its trade only distributor network with a 12-month warranty. The quality of units is reflected in the appearance of each product straight out of the box, which is identical to a brand-new turbo.

The Turbo Guy remanufactured products are widely recognised for their outstanding quality and the company operates a Quality Management System which exceeds the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2015. The business empowers employees to take responsibility for maintaining and improving the system.
